Sleepless in Seattle Trip-Part One

So Kate, Pika and I headed to Seattle! We hit town and went straight for the market. After some downtown action we went out to West Seattle...Alki Beach! Long boards and margaritas before we headed to Carl and Lori's party. We ended up sleeping in their backyard for the night! More to come!

HERES WHATS TO COME

MY SEATTLE TRIP AND MY MONTANA TRIP WILL BE UP SOON!

2nd Attempt on Grand that week!!!

Eryka came up from Bozeman, so an adventure was in order! We headed out earlier than my last tour which meant more hiking in the dark! Sunrise near the saddle was amazing. It was a perfect day, we started scrambling up from the lower saddle towards wall street. We were using JD's short ropes and not anchoring which wasn't the safest. We decided to pull the tour just before we hit wall street ridge due to the length of time it would take with 3 people on such short ropes. But that didn't stop us from having fun, and enjoying the most beautiful and fulfilling views in WY! And of course you must end with a beer to celebrate any park session!

1st Attempt on Grand-Finally finished posting!!!

Sunrise in the Meadow before approach to lower saddle

I met Allen on Rodeo wall in early spring, he had just gotten to town from Durango, CO on summer break. We had him and his buddy over for a bbq that ended at the bars. Long story short...I am so happy that I met Allen, he is one of the most humble, sweet kids I have met! Throughout the summer we had many adventures, and we wanted to do something special before he left town, back to college. So we attempted the Grand, and Jenny came along. Jenny and I crashed at the Climber's Ranch where Allen was living, in the park and we all headed out around 4am. The day was looking good but the warm morning air let us know we might be in for some crazy weather near the lower saddle. By the time we got to the lower saddle the winds were over than 50 mph! We huddled and tried to take naps hoping the winds would settle. An hour went by and it didn't look good, so we walked around until we headed back down. We stopped in the meadow to boulder and take another nap on some rocks. This time it was warmer and we were able to strip down and seriously pass out!
