Marking the Finale

This marks the end of our season. Very sad, but it was time...my body was telling me it was time. So now, I have hiking, running and mountain biking to be had!! The last day was Sunday, really nice day but my body was cashed, so I took a few runs, Headwaters and 6er for some park-called it a day and started my apres. We had a few beers on the deck and headed into the bar to hear Terry play his o' so famous gaper songs. It got super busy so I jumped behind the bar to do what I do best! Jenny and Jeremiah were the only bartenders and the crowds got too demanding for their stamina. We finished out the evening with absolutely no beer and Jenny and I on the bar dancing like coyote ugly!! Oh you just can't resist Terry and his lyrics! So their you have it-Closed for the season-whoa! The next day was employee ski day. I had to work in the morning giving out tickets and then strapped onto my board for fun. Met up with the park crew for some jib nasty good times-as well as my drop gully run (god, I love this run and I feel completely satisfied to have hit it one more time before next season)-BBQ in the woods next to the park (where there's a propane grill)-they had closed the lifts by then so we hiked out back to the base for the employee feast and free beer. Very mellow, awards handed out-called it and headed to JD's before we went to grab some drinks to finalize the evening and call it quits. Now I can officially say that I can hibernate and take 'er easy for awhile. My final feelings are: AHHHHHH, SIGH!

North Summit Snowfield Two Days in a Row!

Saturday and Sunday NSS trips. Such a beautiful weekend, we just had to get on some backcountry! Saturday, JD, Adam and I hit it up with an added corner pocket hike. Sunday, JD and David (moonlight patroller on his day off) hit up just NSS Great Falls chute.

Easter Sunday was a big day. First on the way to NSS, JD and I got the 15 person Tram car to OURSELVES (never ever has happened!), teamed up with David for our NSS trip. Got back to Moonlight for JD to get to work by 11am and I switched up to my park board for some box jibbing fun in the park. Followed by a beer on the deck with some friends. Then I tried Telemarking for the first time! I am in love-mostly because it was humbling and I am now determined to get good at it, but also because it is so much fun! Then I mosied on home to go for a nice run, followed by some relaxing yoga and a short hike with Howie! Oh yeah and JD and I met up with some friends for a fantastic Easter turkey feast. Probably the most productive and awesome Easters eva! Love to my fam and friends.

BEER FEST 2007

WOW-Yeah this was soooo much fun. Good people, good music and GREAT Beer! This just started a new tradition of celebrating beer festivals! I will give you the run down of my favs of the evening: Flathead Lake Brewing Co-Mutiny Stout (I love anything that requires nitros!), Big Sky Brewing Co-Burbon Barrel IPA (like no other IPA-so good without that strong hoppy taste), Great Northern Brewing Co-Wild Huckleberry Lager, Grand Teton Brew Co-Au Naturale organic...and my top two favs are: MT Brew Co-Beartooth Espresso Porter (you can smell and taste the espresso) and my top fav beer of all time is Wolf Pack Brew Co-Smoke Jummer Rauch Bier (like drinking a camp fire)!! Then there was a Johnny Cash cover band where we boogied. Other beers that are good enough to mention are: Harvest Moon-Pigs Ass Porter, Blackfoot River-MaiBock, Sierra Nevada-Inversion IPA, Rouge Ales-Chocolate Stout...and I will be honest I probably tried them all but these are the ones that stood out enough to try twice. I LOVE BEER!

First Jump into the Gallatin

Cole, Johnny, JD and I headed into Bozeman for some good food and errands. But first a jump into the cold Gallatin that has been getting the fresh run offs of our big melt! CRAZY BOYS. We got to Bozeman, finished our errands and decided to experience the festivities of a Beer Fest. That is a whole new post-soon to be up!

Good Thursday

Rode hard, Apres'ed even harder!! JD even strapped into my snowboard and ripped it up-and then had to get cooled down by Cody!

JD and Johnny drop Cold Fire

JD and His War Wounds

One day back in the corner pocket off of North Summit Snowfield, JD found some jagged rocks! Tore through his jacket, fleece and first layer...then through his shoulder about a quarter of an inch or more. The above shot is a week later after no stitches!
